Do you all have day jobs (if you don't make comics full-time)?

So a couple moments ago I crashed out so hard that I decided to start looking for a job at an industrial zone as a repairman or something like that as soon as possible, and the reasoning behind it is that since I'm banned from pretty much everywhere, it'd be good if I stopped pretending that I'll become famous in webcomics and find somewhere that will at least give me friends (that can be "maintained" easier) and a stable income. (I actually want to become an academic, but I'm at my sophomore year in university right now and I'll probably cause trouble in academia too the way I did in webcomics, so I should probably start right now with something else first.)
Then I remembered that many successful and loved webcomic creators have jobs separate from their comics! Coffee shop barista, federal worker, game developer, and many other types of careers. But I don't know much about creators in SpiderForest in particular. So, if you aren't a comic creator full-time, do you have a day job? What has it taught you? Is it actually grounding?
Thank you!!

I've got a day job, after many stressful years trying to be a full-time artist. It's something my ADHD can handle and it really is grounding. I can use my off hours for art and never feel like I need to make creative compromises to sell it better.

I'm pretty certain about 90% of us have day jobs that are not Webcomics full-time! Also doing something other that an art job can make it easier to dedicate yourself to a personal webcomic. This is because of a stable income, stable hours, etc.

I have a full-time job as a policy analyst for both the income and for satisfaction of doing something outside of art.
You mentioned that you like to cause trouble and think that may hinder your chances in academia. Do you want to exapnd on that more? Sounds like something to think about.
