Summary: One sunny day in SoCal, USA, ten year old best friends Avery Anderson and Julio Jimenez make a blood pact to be Best Friends Forever. Ten days later, Julio goes missing.
Ten years later, Avery's life as a college dropout is shattered when Julio kicks his way back in- now a resurrected failed sacrifice for an isolated desert cult, and whose life force is now intertwined with Avery's.
Julio's kidnappers are determined to finish what they started... Even if they have to go through Avery to do it.
